Shout Out Louds Release New Record, Get Remixed By Passion Pit

February 19th, 2010 | Posted by Drummer John

Shout Out Louds were one of those bands that really caught my attention a few summers ago when everything Swedish was amazing. My friend Tracey was living in Stockholm, and had the inside scoop on what was happening there. She sent me a link to the video for Impossible (still one of my favourite music videos), and I was hooked.

The band is about to release their latest, Work, and I can tell you that it’s absolutely amazing.  It has the same qualities that a record like Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix had; always good for a sunny day, never seems to get tired.  Just as Phoenix was the soundtrack to last summer, it’s safe to say that the new Shout Out Louds record has got this summer nailed down.

So here’s some media for you!  A new video from the band, a new remix by another essential summer band, Passion Pit, and of course, the video that got me hooked:

MP3: Shout Out Louds – Walls
Stream: Shout Out Louds – Fall Hard (Passion Pit Remix)

Here’s the video for their new single, Fall Hard.  Of course, watching in HD totally makes it:

And of course, here’s the video for Impossible.

Work, the new record from Shout Out Louds, is available this Tuesday (February 23), on Merge Records.  Pick it up, and have your summer soundtrack taken care of.
