my top ten for ten
February 10th, 2010 | Posted by Drummer JohnHi, I’m Dean. I am an unemployed, balding father of one. I’m also kind of an asshole. Hey now, I know what you’re thinking. But sadly ladies, I am spoken for.
Being jobless has somewhat curbed my addiction to buying shiny new CDs, but I am still an avid CD buyer, well, they’re not so new now a-a-days what with the dollars coming from pogie. So believe you me, I was super exited when I scored 10 CDs for a $10 deal at one of the local pawnshops.
At that price you’d think a person could go in and just grab ten random disks and call it a day, but not me. I must have looked through hundreds and then looked again before choosing. I knew of some of the groups but not all of them, and really now, how was I to walk away from a band called The Screaming Cheetah Wheelies? Although, apparently, I should’a spent that dollar at Timmy’s.
I’m sure some of those other CDs are fantastic, and I could find out if only my daughter would let me put down the fairy wand long enough to check them out.
P.S. How about you leave me your best recent best recent finds in the comments section. Don’t worry, they can be over a buck and I won’t hold it against you.

The last “CD” I bought was Northcote – Borrowed Chords and Tired Eyes only because it unfortunately isn’t on vinyl.
