Hey El Niño by Bodhi Jones

Vancouver is going to be hosting the Olympics in a couple of weeks and Mother Nature, it seems, has a bit of a sense of humor. There is no snow on the mountains and the forecast looks like it’s just going to be way above seasonal. As such, Vancouverites have been scrambling to stockpile snow at the top of the mountains and much has been discussed about flying in snow from all over the world. It’s a bit of a clusterbang and if you ask me, it’s just Karma – when they take money, medicine, food, clothing and books out of children’s hands so they can host a party for two weeks, they have to expect some things aren’t going to go right, no? What goes around comes around.
So a Vancouver artist, aptly named Bodhi (Karma… Bodhi… Get it? nah…) Jones, has written a little ditty about the predicament called Hey El Niño and though it’s kind of funny, it’s actually a pretty nice track.
