FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MiniBoone, the much-blogged-about indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY, will release their new EP Big Changes on January 26th, via Drug Front Records. Produced by NYC underground legend Dean Rispler (The Star Spangles, 25 Ta Life), and engineered by Jesse Cannon (Animal Collective, The Cure), Big Changes conjures up the noisy guitars of Pavement, the unusual harmonies of Animal Collective, and the rhythmic adventurism of The Talking Heads, into six dynamic tracks.

“For most of us it was our first time in a real studio,” says MiniBoone vocalist Craig Barnes on the recording of Big Changes. “I’d read this Phil Spector biography before we recorded and it gave us some great ideas on how to capture the big, live sound of our band in a studio setting.”

And capture it they did. The live show, after all, is what started all the buzz around MiniBoone in the first place. After being named “One of the best new acts at CMJ,” by MSN.com, the band’s reputation for high energy shows and incredibly tight performances began to precede them, turning MiniBoone into a popular fixture on the Brooklyn live music circuit.

Big Changes will be available via online retailers on January 26th, followed by a record release party on February 3rd at Glasslands in Brooklyn. For more information, press materials, reviews, or interviews, please contact the band directly at miniboone@miniboone.com or Alex Burton, Publicist at AlexBurton5000@gmail.com.
