UK Dance Act Jeuce

Just so you don’t have to, I’ve found the top 5 up-and-coming acts that will be making a splash in the UK in twenty ten. For your listening pleasure:

1. Jeuce - electronic glitch, bleep and bass enormity: this Dub / Punk act are guaranteed to have you making shapes.

2. Hey Zeus - only 3 shows into their career these boys were supporting the likes of Snow Patrol at UK stadium shows. If you like intelligent Indie Pop, this is for you!

3. Marina & the Diamonds - Regina Spektor meets Kate Bush, with glimpses of Brody Dalle over perfect electronic Pop arrangements. There’s a lot of hype around Marina – don’t be surprised to see her on the U.S. festival circuit this year.

4. Japanese Voyeurs - Powerchords, discordance, distortion-doused whirlwind riffs and vocals indicative of a disenfranchised youth.. Sound familiar? Grunge is back in the UK, and its name is Japanese Voyeurs.

5. The XX - Nu-Gaze Minimalists the XX produce dreamy, ethereal and delicate Pop tracks engulfed in a haze of delay. Endearingly fragile: it’s no wonder the London based band are set to take twenty ten by storm off the back of a successful 2009. Legend has it they’ll be touring the U.S. with Swedish band JJ (you couldn’t make it up), so keep an eye out!

So there you have it folks, a fairly eclectic mix of what’s looking hot for 2010 across the pond. Let us know what you think!
